Langundowi Lodge is the local division of the Order of the Arrow that is operated under the auspices of the French Creek Boy Scout Council. The Order of the Arrow (OA) is a national brotherhood of scout honored campers. Founded in 1915, the Order serves to promote Scouting ideals, the camping program, and to recognize those Scouts and Scouters who show leadership in cheerful service to others.
Native American traditions, customs, and ceremonies are an integral part of the Order's program of service. Democratic in nature, lodges are youth run by young men under 21 years of age. As members are elected by their fellow scouts, the OA is unique in that the majority of those who decide who may join are non-members. Click here for a more detailed history of the Order of the Arrow.
