There has been some confusion (at least on my part) regarding the existence of Wolf Lodge #416-- perhaps because there are no known patches or insignia. It was charted in 1949 to Southern West Virgina Council. Their council merged with Appalachian 673, which did not have its own lodge, to form Appalachian Council #707 in Bluefield, WV.

On Sep. 3, 1957 the lodge changed their name to Hytone Lodge #416. The misspelling "Hyton" has circulated over the years, but the lodge never used that spelling.

  • In January, 1964, Area 4-B (Kentucky Lodge) was renamed 4-G. However, in 1965 and 1966 lodges 238, 382, 495, and 522 from 4-B in Ohio also met as 4-G.
Shawnee 109 (Scioto Area Council, Portsmouth, OH) joined the area in 1971:

    Area 4-G (1964-72)
    Zit-Kala-Sha 123
    Tomahaken 241
    Wapiti 367
    Kawida 480
    White Feather 499
    Shawnee 109 (from 4-F in 1971)

  • Area 4-G was split between EC and SE regions:

    Area 4-G

    to Section SE-2B

    to Section EC-6A
    Zit-Kala-Sha 123
    Tomahaken 241
    Wapiti 367
    Kawida 480
    White Feather 499
    Shawnee 109
